This collection was inspired by Laurie Spray, a talented potter residing in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Laurie creates her own molds from clay, providing unique shapes and textures for fused glass artists to work with. Strip Glass Construction Collection
Strip cut glass construction is a fascinating technique that I have been experimenting with and refining for the past four years in order to create these truly one-of-a-kind pieces. I have been continually impressed and delighted by the rippling movement that these plates exhibit, with the reds flickering and dancing like lively flames, the blues shimmering and sparkling reminiscent of serene bodies of water, and the clear sections gleaming and glistening much like frozen ice catching the light.
